Can't log in
If you cannot get into your SpiceMatch account, work through these steps in order. Most login problems are a wrong password, an email typo, or a stale session, and all three are quick to fix.
Start with the basics
Before anything else, check:
- The email is exactly right. A typo in the address logs you into nothing.
- Caps Lock is off. Passwords are case-sensitive.
- You are using the email you signed up with, not a different one you also use.
If your password manager filled the fields, make sure it picked the SpiceMatch entry and not a different site.
Reset your password
If the password is the problem, reset it:
- On the login screen, choose the password reset option.
- Enter the email you signed up with.
- Check that inbox for a reset link, including spam and promotions folders.
- Follow the link and set a new password you do not use elsewhere.
The reset link goes to your registered email, so if you no longer have access to that inbox, that is the real problem to solve first. See managing your account for changing your email.
The reset email is not arriving
If the reset email does not show up within a few minutes:
- Check spam, promotions, and any filtered folders.
- Confirm you typed the right email. A reset for an address that has no account sends nothing.
- Wait a couple of minutes and request it once more, in case of a delay.
- Make sure your inbox is not blocking mail from us.
Clear a stale session
Sometimes the account is fine but the app is holding a broken session:
- Log out fully, then log back in.
- Refresh the page or restart the app.
- Clear your browser cache, or try a private or incognito window.
- Try a different browser or device to rule out a local issue.
Are you in a blocked region?
If the app will not load at all rather than rejecting your password, you might be in a blocked region or behind a VPN that puts you in one. The United Kingdom is blocked under the Online Safety Act. Turn off any VPN or proxy and try again. See reporting content and blocked regions.
Account terminated
If your account was terminated for a terms violation, login will not work and a reset will not bring it back. Accounts found to belong to minors are terminated, as are accounts banned for a serious content violation. These are not recoverable through the login flow.
Still locked out
If none of the above works, contact support through the live chat widget at support.spicematch.ai or the contact page. Write from the email tied to the account if you can, and describe what happens when you try to log in, including any error message. That detail speeds up the fix.
