How matching works

Matching on SpiceMatch works the way you would expect from a dating app. You swipe through a roster of AI companions, pass on the ones who do not fit, and match with the ones you click with. The difference is that every profile is a fictional AI character, so there is no waiting for someone to swipe back. When you match, you can start talking right away.

Swiping through the roster

The app shows you one companion at a time. Each card has her photo, her name, her age, and a short read on her personality and vibe. Some are flirty, some are shy, some are dominant, some are the girl-next-door type. You swipe to decide.

There are 100+ companions in the roster, and we add more over time. The roster is the menu. You are not waiting for a match to appear out of a dating pool. Every character is available the moment you match with her.

Matching is free and unlimited

You do not pay to match, and there is no cap on how many companions you can match with. Match with one, match with ten. You can keep relationships going with several characters at the same time, and each one keeps her own memory of your conversations. Talking to one does not erase another.

If you swipe past someone and change your mind, you can usually find her again through search or browse rather than re-swiping the whole roster.

Every companion shows her age

Every profile displays an age, and that age is always 18 or older. We never present it as a mystery or a guessing game. The minimum age is enforced as a database constraint, not a setting someone can quietly change, and in practice the characters are generated in the mid-twenties range. If you ever see a profile without a clear adult age, that is a bug worth reporting, not the design.

What happens after you match

Once you match, the companion appears in your chats. Open the conversation and start talking. Chat is free to begin, and the free tier gives you 10 chats a day with no card required. That is enough to learn how a character actually talks and whether she remembers what you told her last time, because each companion carries memory across sessions.

If you find a character you keep coming back to, you have options. A per-character subscription is $2.99 a month for ongoing access to one companion. Platform plans raise or remove the daily chat cap and come with credits for photos and video.

Finding the right companion faster

If swiping at random feels slow, browse by vibe or interest instead. There are hubs grouped by personality and theme, like flirty, shy, dominant, anime, fitness, gaming, and more. Pick the type you are after and you will see companions that fit, so you spend less time swiping and more time talking.

Matching never costs anything, so there is no risk in trying a few before you settle in. The real test is the first conversation.
