Sharon Mitchell is a performer and director featured in Kamikaze Hearts, Juliet Bashore's 1986 film set in San Francisco. Its mix of documentary and staged performance made Mitchell a central figure in a film that questions where acting ends and everyday life begins.
FACETS released the film theatrically in 1986 and on home video in 1993. A 2K restoration followed in 2022, returning it to cinemas and bringing this chapter of independent filmmaking to new audiences.
